A Bible events timeline and doing an exposition in the Bible at the moment

I ventured to point out that that scripture was identifying the deceitful theology and viewpoint of Gnostic dualism. However he wouldn’t have it.
Grant me ask, how can a minister in the salvation message, not be aware of and grasp on the subject of a group which possibly around 1/2 the writings of the N.t. books dispute?

How could a vicar understand and preach the Bible in balance not having insight about this group that was rather consequential in the New Testament church? And then how can the fellowship possibly to grasp these topics and be efficient to explain their Bible.
