A Bible timeline banner and preaching the Scriptures at the moment

When we had Scripture study and reading a few years ago, a dear friend who had been a Born-again Christian and assisted actively in the church service for many long years, made this bold assertion, “Okay, but Abraham complied with the OT Law hence he fully understood regarding……” (she clearly indeed was not identifying the pre-Moses laws) I ponder how many Christians would in actual fact notice the fault in this declaration. Moses popped up 5 hundred years orso following on after Abraham hence it is not possible. Sometime later I come up with a Bible timeline and displayed diagrammatically the historical calendar of Scripture characters & various happenings.

Wrongly, a very large crowd of pastoral leaders in the church repeatedly share hollow addresses and their fellowship won’t grow and advance in Biblical wisdom. Church leaders enjoy to dispense to us ?moral essays? and ?warming affirmations,? because purportedly, if Christians really love people this is the right thing Christians will do. Too bad if God?s congregation are slipping thru the cracks ?for a lack of understanding?as long as we are positively ‘nice’ to all people.

Equally, a vicar incorrectly referred to 1Ti 1:4 …’nor to busy yourself with fantasy and never-ceasing genealogical lines which stimulate way out ideas instead of godly instruction which is in a trust in god….’. I ventured to explain that that Bible text was referring to the deceptive rhetoric and perspective of Gnostic beliefs. Although he wouldn’t have any of it.
Allow me ask, how can a minister in the biblical imperatives, not recognize and appreciate concerning a false sect that potentially around half the books & letters of the N.t. writings talk about?

Tell me, how can a minister discern and preach the Scripture in completeness with a gap in knowledge about a strange group that was quite consequential in the N.t. church? And then tell me, how could the church assembly presume to master these topics and be able to study their Scripture.

Why do we as belivers get held fast in a trench of precious?s subjects and feel-good dissertations?

We share on a verse from Ezekiel and a piece about Aqilla, a topical discourse from Philemon and then the charity of John the baptist or the might or meditation of Lot – bits from here and there, nonetheless we don’t slot it all together in a simple, easy-to-remember panoramic view together with a helpful Bible events timeline including A basic history of the church as well.
Constantly we are besieged with new writings, modernist dogma, some of them grievously bias toward Neo-orthodox ideas, when if Christians were to be versed in the abcs of Scripture and church historical events and people, we would not be naive to replicate it.

We Christians should as preachers and parsons sew side by side the parts of the Bible and strategy of God, into a seamless splendid tapestry which our people could build on for the length of their life. Developing them to understand God, His Great Plan, the role of the Church as well as how to explain the Scripture to mature.

It is not onerous to do, and it?s not a drag if we are committed to put in some reading and study by use of prayer.
