A Biblical events poster and teaching the Bible today

Whilst in a Scripture reading & study a few years back, a constituent who had been a Firmly established Christian and served in the church for many years, made this statement, “Okay, but Abraham knew the 10 commandments as a result he knew regarding……” (she wasn’t contemplating the pre-Mosaic laws) I wonder how many Christians would actually identify the flaw in this statement. Moses came along five hundred long years later than Abraham as a result it is self-contradictory. I later made a Bible timeline poster and presented a representational chart of the historical data of Scripture characters & various happenings.

Perilously, a very great quantity of teachers in the church continue to preach depthless homilies and their group will hardly grow and mature in Biblical knowledge. Pastoral leaders like to dispense to us ?moral essays? and also ?warming affirmations,? given that apparently, if we as belivers love a person this is the righteous thing we as belivers will do. So what if God?s congregation are sinking through the cracks ?for a lack of god’s direction?as long as Christians are forever affirming to everybody.

Not only that, a minister mistakenly brought up 1Ti 1:4 …’nor to engross yourselves with myths and monotonous genealogical lines which assist speculations instead of the divine development which is in faith….’. I endeavoured to clarify that that verse was identifying the phony teachings and theories of Gnosticism. Yet he wouldn’t accept it.
Grant me ask, how could a teacher in the biblical doctrines, not know about and comprehend with reference to this group which maybe about 1/2 the epistles & books of the NT books dispute?

How could a teacher understand and share the Scripture in richness with a lack in knowing about a false sect which was quite consequential in the First century church? And then truly, how could the church body attempt to appreciate these subjects and be skilled to interpret their Scripture.

Why do Christians get lost in a track of popular?s teachings and feel-good sermons?

We preach on a text from Jude and a part concerning Stephen, a topical message from Ecclesiastes and then the nobility of Rebekah or the strength or mercifulness of Israel – a piece from here and there, nonetheless we mostly will not place it all together in a simple, easy-to-remember interpretation together with a suitable Bible timeline chart together with Recorded church history also.

It is not complicated to do, and it?s not tedious if we are geared up to put in a little reading & study together with prayer.
