In order for a congregation to rightly divide the Word, they need to be taught all these sorts of things.

1525 AD William Tyndale translates the NT into English from Erasmus's Greek text. He converted to the Reformed faith while a student at both Oxford & Cambridge, during reign of Henry VIII. His NT reignited Wycliffe’s (and Lollards) reformation from about 200 years before.
Unfortunately, a very large number of preachers in our churches continue preaching shallow, light weight messages and their congregations barely grow in Bible knowledge.
Preachers love to give to us ‘moral essays’ and ‘warming affirmations’ because, supposedly, if we truly 'love' others this is what we will do.
Apparently, it doesn't really matter if God's people are falling through the cracks ‘for a lack of knowledge’ (oracle), as long as we are positive and ‘nice’ to everybody.
Ah-huh, the more 'relevant' we become, to the world, the less relevant we all are to tell the truth, to the world. :-o
