This pastor had worked in the Ministry for 40 years and I wondered how he could possibly in all that time, not learn about something that was so influential in the new Testament period?
How can a congregation rightly divide the Word if they are not taught about these things?

LORD - Yahweh (as best we can decipher). eg. Jehovah Jireh are Coventantal Names. God - El eg. El Shaddai - Creatorship names (not so much names as descriptions of who He is.)
If the many pastors persist in preaching, lightweight and shallow messages to the congregation, the results will always be a people who do not understand their Bible very well.
Pastors will again and again preach 'moral essays' and 'warming affirmations' because supposedly if we truly love each other, this is what we will do.
Where is our focus? It seems that it's just too bad if God's people are falling through the cracks, ‘for a lack of knowledge’ (oracle), after all He wants us to be ‘nice’ to everybody.
Soooo, the more 'relevant' we christians become, to the world, the less relevant we christians are in reality, to the world. :o
